Mr. Wendell joined BirdDog in September 2000. Prior to BirdDog, he served as President and COO of Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM) the world’s leading records management firm. During his more than 15 year tenure with Iron Mountain, the firm grew from $5 million in revenue to $.95 billion through organic growth and over 70 acquisitions. Mr. Wendell is active in the company on a daily basis, focusing on acquisitions, financing, strategic alliances, and talent executive recruiting. Wendell is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the University of Virginia law school.
Mr. Beck joined BirdDog early in 2008 to manage the company’s finance, accounting and administration function. Prior to joining the Company, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Highland Partners, a $60M division of the public company Hudson Highland Group. Prior to Highland Partners, Chris was Chief Financial Officer of Alper Ink Group, a $170M private equity funded company where Chris lead their acquisition activity, closing seven acquisitions in a four year time span. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and started his finance and accounting career with Deloitte Touche LLP in New York.
Ms. Blaya-Arena manages the growing operations and account management organizations at our Omaha location. She brought with her a track record for operational excellence, cost management and process improvement achieved during her time as Director and Senior Manager at Connectivity Solutions, and Worldwide Multinational Program Manager at Cisco Systems, where she worked in International Customer Service. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
With over 25 years experience in sales management, Mr. Clark has been with BirdDog Solutions since 2000 as the Sales Director. His previous positions in Sales Management include ten years with Iron Mountain, the world’s largest record management company, as well as First USA Partners, the affinity credit card marketing arm of First USA, now part of Bank of America. As one of the Company’s top sales achievers, his sales team secured the majority of the Company’s 1200-plus customers. Clark is a graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
Mr. Nieuwenhuizen manages BirdDog’s professional services team and is responsible for the growth and operating performance of BirdDog’s non-asset based freight management division. In addition, Nieuwenhuizen leads new product development, marketing, and communication initiatives in support of the company’s rapid growth. Prior to joining the company in 2006, Nieuwenhuizen held positions in customer management, sales, and marketing for a number of organizations in the US, Canada and Belgium. Most recently, Nieuwenhuizen was the Director of Marketing at AMR Research, where he spearheaded lead generation programs and built strategic alliances with various industry organizations and publications. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing and International Management from The Hague University in The Netherlands, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Syracuse University.
