Our contract negotiation process can be broken down into 7 steps:
- Shipment and Contract Analysis - BirdDog conducts a comprehensive analysis of your current shipping patterns, service mix, package characteristics, contract, and industry data to identify savings opportunities.
- Negotiate Parameters - Before our consultants get to work, we meet with key stakeholders to better understand your environment and evolving business needs.
- Bid Management - BirdDog issues bids to the carriers and manages the entire process on your behalf.
- Carrier Negotiation - We then analyze the bid responses and negotiate key parameters of the contract, considering up to 130 factors.
- Carrier Selection - Once the contracts have been negotiated, BirdDog presents the outcome of the bid process and recommends which contracts to select. The final decision, of course, is ultimately yours.
- Contract Implementation - BirdDog oversees the implementation of the new contracts and proactively works to resolve problems and issues before they arise.
- Ongoing Monitoring - Once new contracts are put in place, we continue to work with you to ensure that your carriers are in compliance, your contracts remain competitive, and those contracts continue to meet your changing business needs.
